
Role
We’re looking for a Field Engineer with deep technical chops who thrives in customer conversations and knows how to bring AI to life for technical buyers. You’ll partner closely with Account Executives to drive revenue, lead technical evaluations and pilots, and act as the voice of the customer with our product and engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Partner with AEs throughout the sales cycle: discovery, demos, technical validation, and onboarding.
- Design and lead hands‑on demos and trials tailored to developers and engineering leaders.
- Translate technical requirements to business value and articulate Cursor’s advantage as an AI‑powered IDE.
- Own solution architecture, security reviews, and technical onboarding with customer stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering to influence roadmap with customer feedback and market signals.
- Act as a trusted advisor pre‑ and post‑sale; build champions and ensure time‑to‑value.
- Build personalized onboarding strategies (rules, MCPs, prompt enablement) for large enterprises.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of software development workflows; experience with IDEs, Git, and AI tools.
- Familiarity with LLMs, prompt engineering, and building with AI.
- Ability to simplify complex topics for technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Comfortable running live product demos and tailoring conversations to CTOs, developers, and technical buyers.
- Curiosity, creativity, and a bias for action.
- You navigate ambiguity and enjoy building.
